Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed?

Murphy
(2005- Present)

Murphy joined us almost a year after Sparky died. He was an accidental dog - the rest of the ELPO advisory board told us to go meet him one night, and when we did, he jumped into my arms. So, he chose us. Actually, considering he had run head-first into the glass sliding door twice before he jumped into my arms, he may have just been attempting another escape.

Murphy sleeps on the bed, but he also growls if you try to move him, touch him, shift him, breathe incorrectly while in the same room, or any number of other possible infractions. My wife usually gets annoyed by this, but I've learned to ignore him. Better yet, I growl back, which tends to really confuse him. I don't speak Dog, so I don't really know what I'm saying, but he seems to pay attention.
