Katie is almost a female Max. She came from the same shelter, and she looks a lot like Max did, and a bit like Ripley. She's also slightly insane, doesn't know her own strength, and tends to play rather roughly with the rest of the team. Since Ripley has had two back surgeries costing thousands of dollars, "rough" is not a good way to play. So, she spends a lot of time in her crate.
Because of this, she sleeps with us, and the rest of the guys sleep in their crates.
Katie will come up to get a hug, and then sleeps pressed to my legs. I usually wake up sometime in the night with my legs hanging off into space, clinging to the bed with whatever part of my butt is left on the mattress. She growls if you try to move her. So it goes.
The ironic part of this is that the guys who used to push me off the bed now have their own personal space to sleep in. None of them were ever crated as a punishment, so they don't mind sleeping in their crates. So, they have their own rooms, and I'm clinging on for dear life. Maybe I can find myself a crate. |
