The slippery slope: Bubba had joined the Gilhooly household in June of 2000, and quickly became the center of attention. Ripley moved in during the summer of 2001. Flower was visiting that Fall with her Mom. By December 2001, Kevin Gilhooly was becoming increasingly concerned by the potential threat of a fourth dog moving into his home.
Bubba and Ripley were already sharing his bed at night, and a third (Flower) was looking on with interest from down the hallway. He realized that his place in the home might soon be taken by another furry creature. Hence the motto of the organization: "Who's been sleeping in my bed?" |
